Chicken And Veg-Noodle Soup!
1 pouch SPAR Freshline Mediterranean Veg For Two
1 pouch instant Peppercorn &Cheese sauce powder
1 packet SPAR chicken flavour, instant noodles
150 ml SPAR milk
150 g can smoked chicken in brine, drained well
Pour 1 litre boiling water from a kettle into a pot, add 5 ml salt along with the vegetables. Bring back to the boil, partially-cover and boil vigorously for 10 minutes.
Using a stick-blender, partially-chop the vegetables in the cooking liquid.
Add and stir in one at a time, the sauce powder, noodles with their seasoning sachet, and lastly the milk. Cover the pot with its lid and set aside off the heat while you assemble the bread, serving bowl and utensils.
Stir in the canned chicken, check for consistency, and serve.
Hints & Tips
There is no need for additional seasoning as the ingredients provide all this for you.
Be sure the stick-blender blade area is completely covered in the liquid while operating it, to prevent very hot liquid spraying onto you by accident.
If you don’t own a stick-blender, just chop up the vegetables finely before boiling them in Step 1. Then, for Step 2, simply use a potato masher so the butternut is pureed. The other vegetables around will be fine.
You may like to add a sparing amount of SPAR sun-dried tomato and onion salsa to vary the flavour. Add in tiny amounts and taste before adding more, as it can dominate if over-used.
