Fifa World Cup - Russia 2018

Half Time Tunisia 1 – 1 England: Exciting staff from both teams #WorldCup

What an exciting first half. Sterling misses a sitter. This is worse than his miss for Man City this season. Lingaard leads the counter and plays the ball across the face of goal and Sterling inexplicably misses the open goal!!

Captain Kane strikes. Ashley Young’s corner is met by a powerful header from Stones which forces a terrific save from the keeper but he can’t help but parry it straight to Kane who is no Sterling to miss that. 3 Lions lead!!!

Kane Harry

Hassen, Tunisia’s goalkeeper has suffered a shoulder injury and the men in whites are forced to make an early change.

England are seemingly prising open the gates south of the Volgograd Arena. A delightful cross Young finds an unmarked Lingaard who scuffs his shot and misses the target.

Tunisia gets a penalty. A cross from the right is headed towards their striker and Kyle Walker ‘inadvertently’ swings his elbow onto the face of the player. Spotkick!!

Ferjani Sassi converts from the spot. Pickford guesses right and dives but his fingertips aren’t enough to stop the net from bulging. Tunisia is level.

Kane is hacked down by a defender who has both his arms around the English skipper as he looks to prevent Kane from getting to the end of a corner. Would’ve been a penalty on another day.

Tripper plays in Lingaard with a nicely weighted highball over the defence. Lingaard takes it on his stride and looks to chip it over the keeper but ends up hitting the outside of the near post. Unlucky!!

Half-Time. Despite their attacking flair and bulk of possession England have ended up losing their advantage due to a rash piece of Fellaining from Walker. 1-1 at the break.
