Hadeco is a world-renowned floriculture company exporting bulbs and flowers world wide.
Our farming division has established a new long-term career position focused on farm sustainability, productivity and crop planning.
We have well-appointed offices in an extremely pleasant setting in Little Falls, Roodepoort. The position requires extensive driving to farms across Gauteng, North West, Mpumalanga and Limpopo.
Job Responsibilities:
Sustainability programs
Managing and preparing for “Farming for the Future” audits
Implementing and managing MPS programs
Monitoring farm and warehouse productivity
Taking best practice from one farm to the next
Devising methods to reduce costs and improve efficiency
Providing HR advice to farm managers
Assisting in disciplinary enquiries
Checking that practices per farm are compliant with law and consistent
Admin includes crop planning, programs for herbicides, insecticides and fungicides
Statistics and reporting
Co- operating with with regulatory bodies, sustainability and plant health inspectors
Implementation of drones for spraying and monitoring
Investigating and introducing better methods for farming
Required Skills
leadership skills : 2 to 3 years
human resources experience : 1 to 2 years
Crop experience : 5 to 6 years
spreadsheeting : 2 to 3 years
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications and minimum requirements:
Must have a South African Matric Certificate
Must have Human Resources experience and training
Must have at least 5 years practical crop experience
Experience and abilities with spreadsheeting
Must be in possession of a valid unendorsed South African Driver’s Licence (preferably Code 08/EB)

Horticulture experience
Good organisational skills
Good inter-personal skills

This position reports to: General Manager and Directors
