Manage the overall development, supply and installation of all company technology equipment focusing on strengthening company’s leading global market position and satisfying company’s customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management of direct reportees including technology equipment engineers
Management of direct clients including Technology Manager, Design Coordinator, Design Draughtsman, Quality Manager and Quality Inspectors
Management of direct clients which may include company’s management members and other company’s engineers and personnel
Function as a design expert
Execute contracts and support installations and commissioning
Ensure compliance
Identify engineering deliverables
Allocate engineering resources
Establish delivery periods
Daily interaction with Technology Manager & Design Coordinator
Technology equipment specification and data sheets
Drive product development
Supplier assessment and development
Design reviews
Provide project related engineering and procurement deliverables and services
Compilation and implementation of quality control plans and test and inspection plans
Presentations
Maintain regular contact and obtain feedback from clients and suppliers
Assist in driving company;s technology equipment business growth and profitability
Encourage an atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork
Required Skills
pyro-metallurgical : 10 years or more
Candidate Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Engineering
Relevant certificates and diplomas in mechanical draughting
Relevant post graduate qualifications albeit technical, management or business related could be an advantage
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 10 years experience with design, contracts and clients in the pyro-metallurgical industry
Minimum 5 years experience at an engineering management level
Experience in contract management, engineering, costing/cost control, HAZOP, SHERQC & multi-disciplinary construction of submerged arc furnaces and other pyro-metallurgical projects
Experience in the interaction with clients both on site and in formal office settings
This position reports to: Technology Equipment Manager
