Bongisizwe Mpondo has been appointed Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (Prasa) administrator with immediate effect.
Minister of Transport Fikile Mbalula confirmed the appointment on Monday.
Prasa’s interim board has also been dissolved.
Mbalula says he is determined to stabilize the SOE and ensure quality railway services.
