Zozibini Tunzi crowned 2019 Miss Universe

There’s no Monday blues in South Africa this morning, Zozibini Tunzi has been crowned Miss Universe 2019. The Eastern Cape beauty took the title at the pageant in Atlanta in the US.

Zozibini defeated Puerto Rico’s Madison Anderson and Mexico’s Sofía Aragon in the top three. The 26-year-old takes over from Catriona Gray of the Philippines.

This was South Africa’s third consecutive year in the top three of the pageant. Former Miss SA Tamaryn Green earned her spot in the Miss Universe top three last year. While former Miss South Africa Demi-Leigh Peters won the competition in 2017.

Mo Setumo is mourning the death of her mom Glenda. The Queen actress who has always displayed her love for her mom on all her social media platforms announced the news this morning on Twitter.
