Six other patients were assessed, including two other children. Paramedics found that a 7-year-old girl was in a critical condition while a 3-year-old boy had sustained only minor injuries. Four other adults sustained minor to moderate injuries.

Paramedics treated the patients and provided the critically injured child with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the critically injured child was airlifted by the ER24 Oneplan Helicopter to Sunshine Hospital while the remaining patients were transported to Carletonville Provincial Hospital.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
