Jacob Mamabolo condemns attack on Uber driver in Ekurhuleni

Gauteng Transport MEC, Jacob Mamabolo, is condemning an attack on an Uber driver in Ekurhuleni.

He says he is appalled by the level of savagery and hate.

The driver was attacked on Thursday, allegedly by members of the Katlehong People’s Taxi Association.

Mamabolo says those responsible must be dealt with.

He says the incident hampers work done to root out violence in the taxi industry.

Mamabolo will meet the association on Monday.
