KwaZulu-Natal: At 06H33 Tuesday morning, Netcare 911 responded to a collision on the N3 near Liberty Midlands Mall in Pietermaritzburg.
Reports indicate that a bus and bakkie were involved in a collision, resulting in the bakkie coming to rest upside down.
Medics assessed the scene and found that the driver of the bakkie, an adult male, had sustained fatal injuries and was sadly declared deceased on the scene.
The Fire and Rescue Services used hydraulic tools to free the deceased from the wreckage.
None of the occupants of the bus were injured.
