Motivational speaker, Zoleka Mandela, took to social media to pen a beautiful and uplifting letter to other housewives. She also explained that being one is not as easy as some people would think
Zoleka Mandela took to her Instagram account recently and penned the most heartfelt letter. She opened up about the stereotypes of being a housewife and explained it’s not as glamorous as people think it is.
Most people think that being a house wife leaves you with tonnes of free time, to go have coffee dates with your friends, perhaps do your hair or nails and basically wait for your darling husband or children to come home. But being a housewife is more than that, you are not only seeing to the kids at home, but also making sure the house is in order, not to mention the countless chores and errands that you have to get done. Well Zoleka Mandela understands completely, especially after having her baby and being a full-time mum at home. She explained her feelings of what she is going through at home right now, and after everything she has to do, she still appreciates the little moments that take her breath away.

Some housewives actually get to put their feet up, even if it’s to bottle feed their baby that they may just want to be their last born. Some housewives also have husbands who insist that they want more babies, even when their newborn is barely 3 months old and their husbands feel like the 6th (youngest) child in their blended family.
Some housewives have awesome 5yr old daughters who take awesome pictures like this, even if they’re slightly out of focus and the majority of the pictures taken in the end are instead of their 5yr old daughter’s selfies. “Some housewives think back to a time like this when their 16yr son was this obsessed with them and feel their hearts still smiling, even when their son now treats them like a groupie.
Some housewives are truly thankful for moments like these, even when the babies in these pictures poop, pee and throw up on them on the daily! Some housewives had to get off from this couch after feeding their babies and attend to their wifely and motherly duties, even after a session with their therapist that left them both emotionally and physically exhausted.
Some housewives have to post pictures just like these ones to remind other housewives that even at their worst, they’ll always be the most incredible.” We really hope Zoleka’s message inspired other housewives out there, as it really did for us.
