Award-winning maskandi musician Umafikizolo has reassured worried supporters that he is alive and unharmed after a Facebook post about his car accident sparked widespread panic.
The 25-year-old musician, whose real name is Lethukuthula Mhlongo, shared news of the collision on Wednesday, 2 September 2026.
However, many followers believed the accident had happened that day. Concern quickly spread across social media as fans attempted to find out whether the Uyoncengwa Unyoko hitmaker had suffered injuries.
Umafikizolo has now explained that the accident happened more than a month earlier, on 30 July.

Umafikizolo described the vehicle as his dream car and revealed that it was still relatively new when the accident happened.
