Amid Somizi‘s trouble after spreading fake news about the lockdown, Miss Mbau‘s man has landed himself in big trouble after allegedly invading his friend’s privacy, by falsely claiming he is positive for coronavirus.
It was just over the week when Khanyi Mbau served us with hot underwear pics and now her boyfriend has been arrested. Tebogo Lerole was arrested for spreading fake and malicious news after he said that his friend, Serge “The International Blesser” Cabonge had contracted the deadly coronavirus.
Right after the news got into Cabonge’s ears, the notorious blesser didn’t take it easy. He said the friend was spreading false information about him contracting COVID-19, he went and opened a case.
According to Cabonge, he was admitted in the hospital on the 29th of March after experiencing what he calls a bad cough. His doctor found that he had a bad blood infection which was duly treated.
This was when Khanyi Mbau’s man video called his friend under the pretense that he was checking upon him.
“Little did I know that he was screen grabbing pictures of out video call which he circulated on social media saying I have coronavirus,” said the blesser.
Right after the call Tebogo went on a gossiping spree that saw Cabonge receiving calls labeling him insensitive for exposing people who had come into contact with him to the deadly virus.
When Cabonge confronted Tebogo on why he did that, he became offensive and even refused to apologise to him because he (Cabonge) is a foreigner.
“When I told them I didn’t know what they were talking about, they sent me the pictures that Tebogo sent on social media”. Khanyi Mbau’s lover arrested soon trended on social media.
“When my tests came back negative, I went to open a case against him. I never thought someone I considered a friend and a brother would do something like this to me. Even though he has been arrested for invading my privacy and breaking the COVID-19 regulations, the damage he has done to my family and business is immeasurable,” Cabonge explained.
Police wasted no time in putting Tebogo behind bars, he was arrested on Thursday and is set to appear at the Randburg Magistrates Court on 30 June for breaking COVID-19 regulations which, among others, criminalise misinformation.
