
The health department is promising to tackle corruption. Minister Zweli Mkhize says legal action is underway to retrieve the money awarded to Digital Vibes.
The SIU found that the appointment of the communication company was irregular.
“I can also confirm that consequence management that is taking disciplinary action against all implicated individuals is underway,” Mkhize said.
Mkhize also said he’s not involved with the Digital Vibes company at any level.
The company was awarded a multi-million-rand tender by his department.
Mkhize said while he previously worked with Tahera Mather and Naadhira Mitha — who are employed at Digital Vibes — they’re not his friends.
