Tshegofatso Pule murder mastermind Ntuthuko Shoba to be kept in single cell

Ntuthuko Shoba will be kept in a single cell for the duration of his trial. Shoba is the alleged mastermind behind the death of Tshegofatso Pule who was heavily pregnant.
Pule’s body was found in June last year hanging from a tree. Her killer is already serving time. Shoba is expected back in court on Friday.
Shoba was arrested in February after the man who confessed to killing Pule, Muzikayise Malephane, turned state witness.
Shoba told the court that there were WhatsApp messages making the rounds from the hitman threatening his safety and that he wanted to be kept at the Krugersdorp police station cells.
The state brought an official from correctional services to prove that Shoba would be safe in Johannesburg.
Shoba’s lawyer withdrew from the matter forcing Shoba to conduct his cross-examination.
The NPA says the matter will now head to the South Gauteng High Court.
The NPA’s Phindi Mjonondwane said: “Ours is to place all relevant facts before [the] court we have done exceptionally well so far as we go to the High Court… court will make [a] determination of the strength of our case as the state.”
Pule’s family says they are still coming to terms with her death.
With the magistrate’s court denying Shoba’s application he will be transferred immediately to the Johannesburg prison where he will be kept in a section for awaiting trial prisoners.
