Stage 2 blackouts will be suspended on Thursday at 5 am. Eskom is warning, however, that they could resume at short notice.
The power utility says they have conducted some repairs to generating units and will continue with its maintenance programme.
The public is urged to use electricity sparingly in order to minimise the possibility of further power cuts.
