Following Somizi Mhlongo dragging the media personality’s name in his recent interview on MTV Base by calling her mediocre, Matheba has broken her silence by sharing her true opinion on their friendship.
Bonang Matheba’s former relationship with Somizi Mhlongo has made headlines on various occasions and Bonang is ready to put it behind her.
When an entertainment publication took to social media bringing attention to the fact the two personalities had been nominated under the same category of ‘personality of the year’ for the Dstv Mzansi viewers choice awards (DstvMVCA’s), Matheba called them out by saying that she was tired of being compared to the personality.
“So exhausting…get over it already!!!” she wrote.
The Local TV personality Bonang Matheba sent her former BFF Somizi Mhlongo a special shout-out and it looks like they’ve finally patched things up. The pair were friendship goals for many years, climbing the social ladder together before their friendship abruptly ended in 2016.
That same year, Somizi revealed on an episode of his reality show that Bonang was under the impression that he outed her affair with AKA to Zinhle. According to a source, who was at the event, the two were friendly with each other and shared several jokes.
Since AKA is now out of the picture, does that mean the pair will put their beef aside? Somizi also shared an Instagram Stories snap of him enjoying her signature drink, a pink egg white champagne cocktail which was featured on the first season of Being Bonang.
Let’s hope their friendship is now going to be back in place, like the good old days we all love.
