Zola 7 urges fans to help raise R5 million for charity

The rapper took to Instagram this week to ask his followers to help him raise R5 million to help the less fortunate. The 42-year-old previously hosted a TV show named after himself that helped the youth achieve their dreams. The Don’t Cry hitmaker revealed that he needed more stoves, toys, musical instruments and shoes to help Abraham Kriel Children’s Home and several other charities.

He shared his banking details with his fans and urged them to do their part. Some of his followers questioned whether the video of him donating his stove was a prank, but Zola 7 assured them in a separate post that it is not. What happened this morning was not a prank. I was actually asking. I need about R5 million to go and do a couple of charities and help the Abrahim Children’s Home and a couple of others. It’s definitely me,” he said.

The musician also shared a clip of a man pledging to donate R5 000 to the initiative, and his fans applauded him for helping make the world a better place for those in need.

“Thanks, Zola 7 Legend for living up to your ethos. You shaped and inspired me and many more young vibrant African children. The son of soil you are and TV or not, your love for contributing to the upbringing of these kids is beyond measures,” one Instagram user commented. Another added: “Keep up the good work broer.
