Procurement Officer urgently wanted: Salary R20 000 to R25 000 per month

Rare Pieces is looking for a Procurement Officer to ensure for the timely procurement and delivery of high quality and low-cost products and the proper processing of procurement procedures

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contract & Price negotiations with suppliers
Highlight & reporting of deviations on supply & other terms of contract
Create a preferred supplier database based on selection criteria such as BBBEE status, pricing quality & turnaround delivery times, etc.
Continuously conducts comparative analysis on supplier prices
Reviews & evaluates the performance of suppliers
Closely liaising with clearing agents & processing of clearing documents
Verifies quantification of all orders
Verifies that the required order is within the agreed quotation and approval
Raising of Purchase Orders
Daily submission of GRN’s & Invoices to Finance for processing
Daily, weekly & monthly reports on Procurement
Ad hoc & monthly stock take of all Raw Materials
Ensure Compliance to Company Procurement Procedures
Find out unsafe act/unsafe condition in the section and take appropriate corrective action. Report any deviation from standard operating procedure to senior
Review accident and near miss incidences and take corrective action to avoid recurrences
Respond to safety audit findings and take appropriate action
