Orange Farm murder-accused to be charged

The woman accused of murdering two Orange Farm children is back in the Vereeniging magistrate’s court.

Pontsho Mohlanka is expected to be formally charged and her case will be moved to the High Court.

She is believed to be behind the disappearance and murder of six-year-old Simphiwe Mgcina and eight-year-old Mpho Makondo, in September last year.

The children were later found dead.

The 29-year-old woman is also linked to the murder of another five-year-old boy Mzwandile Zitho.

Zitho’s body was found in Mohlanka’s fridge in April last year.

Mohlanka abandoned her bail application and has been in jail since her arrest.
