Gauteng: At 21H26 Tuesday night, Netcare 911 responded to a collision on Glanville Avenue in Cyrildene.
Reports indicate that the driver of a light motor vehicle lost control, slamming into a bridge pillar.
The patient, an adult male, was found to have sustained serious injuries and was treated on scene by advanced life support paramedics.
Netcare 911 rescue technicians with the City of Johannesburg fire and rescue services used hydraulic tools to free the patient.
Once stabilized, the patient was transported to the hospital for further care.
