Main job function
Product and Process Development:
Promoting the development of company technologies and the general knowledge level within the company.
Developing creative ways to streamline company processes and increasing internal efficiency.
Developing new technology and products.
Product Realization:
Creating product definitions tailored to the customer’s needs.
Creating a register of items and bills of materials in the relevant information system to allow for the procurement of machines, spare parts, and equipment. Commissioning new equipment to meet the company’s and the clients operating requirements.
Ensuring that any manufactured components are manufactured to the highest level, by means of accurate drawings, technical descriptions and quality requirement lists together with interactions with the supplier and relevant procurement representative
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience:
2 years’ work experience
Mechanical design experience.
Work knowledge of Solid Works, Pro/Engineering, AutoCAD or other similar computer-aided drafting tools.
Technical aptitude;
Knowledge of materials (strength and composition) advantageous
A dependable, hard worker who can listen, learn and apply;
Strong self-starter who can work with little or no supervision;
Good problem-solving skills;
High attention to detail;
Multi-tasking abilities required for successful job completion;
Well organized and a team player capable of working in a deadline dictated environment.
Valid driver’s license and own transport required
