At 19H50 Tuesday night Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the N3 in Camperdown.

Reports from the scene indicate that a light delivery vehicle hit a cow lost control and ended up down an embankment.

The driver of the bakkie who was also the only occupant in the vehicle sustained moderate injuries.

The patient was treated on scene and once stabilised was transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.

The cow had died in the impact.
