With the nation still reeling from the abuse allegations that Babes Wodumo shared on Metro FM, many have chosen to distance themselves from Mampintsha.
In what may seem like a dark tunnel for the ‘Maketanga’ hit-maker, there seems to be some who believe that his personal affairs have nothing to do with them and the show must go on. People like the organiser of Umlazi Picnic, DJ Boonu. He’d booked Mampintsha to do a Big NUZ reunion performance with Danger. Speaking to Isolezwe he said:
“People should calm down, nobody likes having their personal business put on the air like that because everyone has problems. I don’t believe that one person should go hungry when there’s so much poverty in the world.”
He went on to say “Babes and Mampintsha should work through their problems and continue with life. They shouldn’t let problems make them forget where they came from. People get so much joy from the bad stuff but the good things don’t get spoken about.”
