Things just keep getting better for Springbok skipper Siya Kolisi. Kolisi has been nominated for the BBC World Sports Star of the Year award. He is up against Tiger Woods, runner Eliud Kipchoge, and former Australian Cricket captain, Steve Smith among others.
Kolisi has been gracious on his nomination, tweeting that the world cup win was not just about him, but a team effort. After lifting the Webb Ellis Cup in Japan last month, Kolisi has been enjoying recognition for being the first black captain to win the rugby world cup.
Very grateful for the @BBCSport recognition however this is not about one person. I’m nothing without my teammates & our whole organization. Proud to celebrate this nomination together. 🇿🇦 #bbcsport #bokrugby #RocFam https://t.co/dAFeOMWglN
