KwaZulu-Natal: At 06H50 Tuesday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the M7 near Umbilo Road in Congella.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a truck transporting meat lost control resulting in a rollover.
Medics assessed the scene and found that the driver an adult male had sustained fata injuries and was sadly declared deceased on the scene.
The passenger of the truck sustained moderate injuries and was treated on the scene by an Advanced life support paramedic before being transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
Both occupants were freed from the wreckage using the Jaws of Life.
