Eskom has confirmed a fire that broke out at its Kendal Power Station has damaged several units.

In an early-morning tweet, the utility says unit one was damaged, which caused units 2 and 3 to trip.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, with the utility promising to provide further details.
Back in February, Eskom reported a fire at the same power station.
It broke out on one of the conveyor belts removing ash from the plant.
