‘You will face your greatest opposition when you are closest to your biggest miracle‘, Shannon L. Alder once said.
Amapiano sensation Kamohelo Duma, who is popularly known as Kammu Dee, is lucky to be alive after he suffered a poisoning ‘attack’ on Monday. Kammu Dee is reported to have been rushed to Lesidi Clinic in Johannesburg where he was admitted after the unfortunate incident.
Reports reaching this publication have indicated that the musician who has since been discharged and is now recovering at his home suffered food poisoning but he is suspecting foul play and has sensationally claimed that someone wanted to kill him.
The 21-year-old vocalist who broke onto the music scene with the smash hit Ama Uber which he created together with his friend’s Tumelo ‘Semi Tee’ Ramaila and Scelo ‘Miano’ Skosana, is adamant that he was poisoned by people who want to see his downfall.
‘Whoever did this knew that I’m about to drop a single, so for them it was a good idea to release the single when I am no more.
Fortunately, my God protected me from evil people. Next time, I will have to be vigilant [with] who I share a drink or food with. Abanantu ngeke bakuthande bonke [not everyone is fond of you],’ the amapiaono vocalist told South African tabloid Sunday World.
Kammu Dee’s manager, who is the owner of Jozitainment and Abuti PR, Lebo ‘Lebzino’ Mlangeni, confirmed the development but did not speak of any foul play.
‘We were panicking when we were first told that Kammu was in hospital. It was worrisome because of the coronavirus pandemic globally at the moment, which is very deadly. We were informed that it was just a minor thing and nothing related to the current coronavirus,’ said Mhlangeni.
Mhlangeni also added that Kammu is now recovering at home as was released on Tuesday.
‘We are not sure what he ate that led to him to suffer from food poisoning. We are just happy that it had nothing to do with the coronavirus since it is a deadly disease that has killed thousands of people globally. We can now focus on him getting better so that as soon as the lockdown ends, he goes back to the studio to work on his single‘.
Kammu Dee is expected to release his first debut single titled Siyatrenda on Friday.
We wish him a speedy recovery and will be anticipating the release of his single.
