Nonku William’s perception that “all men cheat” prompted Jojo Robinson to open up in a heart-to-heart conversation about the appalling abuse she suffered at the hands of her ex-husband.
Jojo is now married to Durban businessman and former South African kickboxing champion Calven Robinson. The latest episode of Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD), was very intense and it hasn’t stopped topping the Twitter trends list. Nonku claimed all black men cheat while white men buy s.e.xual favors. Her perception was not well received by the housewives who were with their husbands at the table when she made those wild accusations.
Jojo slammed her and things got heated. Following the dinner which ended on a sour note between them. Jojo invited her to a quad biking session to have a clear the air.
She mentioned that she was not happy with her statement because she made it in front of all the housewives’ husbands and they felt awkward. Annie’s husband Kgolo, even mentioned that he does not want to be invited to any gathering that involves Nonku.
Jojo then decided to open up about how she ended up in ICU after an altercation with her ex-husband who abused her.
“He would never take me out. We would never go anywhere. One day he phoned me and he was like he is going to take me out tonight for dinner. I was so excited and I got home and spent two hours getting ready because it was our first time going out,” she said.
She went on to say that her husband came home with his friends and she wondered why because they had planned on going out. When she stepped outside he told her that they were not going anywhere. He said he told her that they were going out to make her look like an idiot.
She said things were sour between them and at 2 am she woke up a fight ensued between them. “He had a knife behind his back and we had a really big fight. He didn’t do anything with the knife he just threw it down,” she recalled.
Jojo said she overdosed on 50 pills with alcohol that make the heart race. Instead of assisting her, he dragged her and kicked her and eventually called her sister, who took her to the hospital.
