VUT goalkeeper Obakeng Naane produced a solid performance against Mamelodi Sundowns over the weekend – Following the match, Naane has come out and brazenly said he is ready to replace Itumeleng Khune at Kaizer Chiefs – Khune has issued a response via social media.
Vaal University of Technology performed admirably against PSL champions in their Nedbank Cup match over the weekend. Ultimately, they were defeated 2-0, but goalkeeper Obakeng Naane boosted his reputation with a solid display between the sticks. The rookie goalkeeper added, “I can take him out because I think I am a great keeper. I can do better than him.” Many were stunned by Naane’s comments and it even resulted in a response from Khune. The 32-year-old took to Twitter and shared some laughing emojis while saying: “I wish him everything of the Best.” Not long ago, Khune revealed his ambition to reclaim his number one jersey for both club and country.
