The talented actor recently had his leg amputated after struggling with gangrene for several months.
Gomora star Israel Matseke-Zulu has been making headlines since he exited from the show due to his struggles with gangrene.
A local publisher reported that the actor’s right leg had been amputated due to the disease.
The actor also revealed in several interviews that he had been diagnosed with gangrene that left him semi-crippled.
He said he struggled to shoot scenes due to the disease and asked producers to write him out of the telenovela.
Amapiano star Lady Du recently took to her Instagram to pen a heartfelt message to the Gomora star with a Bible verse after his leg operation.
Lady Du wrote:
“The industry is tough. It is a tough time. I’d like to send my prayers for your strength, sir. We support you Israel Matseke-Zulu.”
Actress and activist Refilwe Modiselle also took to the Amapiano’s stars’ comments to wish the actor a speedy recovery.
“Prayers up for abuti (brother) Israel Matseke-Zulu.”

Popular gospel star Bucy Radebe also took to her Instagram account to send well-wishes to award-winning actor.
Radebe emphasised that his recent health condition does not determine the end of his career in the entertainment industry.
