The succession battle at the International Pentecostal Holiness Church is expected to return to court on Monday.
Officials are on high alert as congregants are expected to picket outside the High Court in Pretoria.
Former leader Glayton Modise died in 2016, and the church has been rocked by leadership battles.
The church has more than three million congregants in Southern Africa.
