Fifa World Cup - Russia 2018

HT Brazil 0 – 2 Belgium #WorldCup

HALFTIME: Brazil 0-2 Belgium The scoreline of this game could be 5-0, 0-5 or 5-5. But as it panned out, it’s just 0-2. Belgium has been magnificent. Brazil has, too, in parts, but they lost their belief when that De Bruyne screamer went in. It’s going to be a heck of a second half because the favourites Brazil need to stage the sort of comeback they’ve not managed at a World Cup since going two down against Sweden and winning 4-2 in … 1938. Go nowhere!

Kevin De Bruyne

BRAZIL STUNNED!!! Again, they get caught out on a counter! Lukaku does well initially to take a clearance, turn and power through the middle. He plays in Kevin de Bruyne on the right wing before being taken out. The Man City man charges into the box and unleashes a terrific drive that nestles in the far bottom corner.

Scintillating stuff! Will we see a repeat of the Brazil-Germany game from the last World Cup? Or can the Selecao script a comeback, much like how Belgium did against Japan?

One thing is for sure, this match promises more goals!! Coutinho almost does a Coutinho. Alas, he had a Courtois intervening. Trademark long-ranger from the former Liverpool man draws out a good save from the Chelsea GK.

What a stunning half of football this has been! Not a boring moment. Brazil came out all guns blazing and had at least 2 golden chances to open the scoring. Only, they lacked precision which Belgium showed with some super-smooth counter-attacks led by Lukaku, de Bruyne and Eden Hazard. They punished Brazil who looked porous in midfield mercilessly.

Belgium are two goals ahead and have one leg already in the semifinals. Can Brazil script a comeback?
