EastEmployment: PermanentPurpose statementAction the design requirements and all administrative duties for the marketing team and wider company. Reports to: Marketing ManagerJob objectiveSpend considerable time on creative design work and marketing co-ordination and is required to have excellent attention to detail and solid administration skills. Undertake the creative design of marketing collateral, promotions and campaigns and website content.DutiesGRAPHIC DESIGN AND LAYOUT-Meet the various design and typesetting requirements of the marketing team. -This involves a mixture of working in pre-existing templates as well as free design and setting up new templates.
Design output will vary from companys annual report, flyers, brochures, stationery, invitations, graphics, economic reports, photos and direct mail. -All design work needs to be in accordance with the marketing style guide to ensure brand integrity and high output quality is maintained. -Improve existing design outputs.-Meet with the Head Graphic Designer to determine the scope of a project-Advise clients on strategies to reach a particular audience-Create images that identify a service/product -Develop graphics for illustrations, logos, and websites DIGITAL/WEBSITES -Update business unit email signatures on Mime Cast COMMUNICATIONS-Responsible for monthly and quarterly template lay-outs -Responsible for Everlytic lay-outs and sending-Uploading documents onto website / SharePoint ADMINISTRATION-All payment for marketing collateral-Business cards (entire process)-Obtain marketing quotes -Obtain quotes for conference center events EVENTS-Where needed to assist the Events Planner with any event requirementsPeople-Market the company in a professional manner to clients and prospective clients and maintain sound business relationships with existing clients.-Communicate with others in ways that are clear, concise and understandable-Demonstrate ease in relating to a diverse range of people of varying backgrounds, ages, experience and education levels Processes- Ensure that the required support is provided in all processes relating to :
-Marketing-Graphic DesignTechnologyUse firm databases, technology and software applications to provide the required support of marketing and proposal requests. Job Evaluation CriteriaFormal EducationA National Diploma in Graphic Design would be advantageous
Minimum of two years experience Core requirements-Advanced business communication skills enabling verbal and written communication, in English and Afrikaans, at all levels-Strong working knowledge of Adobe Indesign / Illustrator / Photoshop / Publisher. -Comfortable working knowledge of excel (charts) and PowerPoint-Knowledge of layouts -Be a creative thinker with initiative – able to translate job briefs into design concepts Competencies-Good attention to detail, accurate and organised -Excellent design skills, an eye for detail with strong conceptual and creative problem-solving skills-Ability to follow administrative procedures (routine) -Ability to continuously produce quality results within tight timeframes-Simultaneously manage several projects-Ability to understand and apply instructions-Flexible team player who thrives in an environment requiring ability to effectively prioritize -Time management skills and the ability to cope with several projects at a time-Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
