Hip hop star, Gigi Lamayne’s announcement about leaving Ambitiouz Entertainment did not come as a shock. It’s known that some people in the music industry don’t have good things to say about the record label. In the last few years, several artists, including Amanda Black, Priddy Ugly and Fifi Cooper, have left the label.
Although the IceCream hitmaker is no longer part of the record company, it doesn’t look like she left on bad terms. Taking to Twitter, she revealed that she’s going independent, and thanked Ambitiouz for believing in her.
The rapper wrote: “So proud to say I am Indie and @hartrocsa is what I am focussing on. Thank you to all who mentioned like @Ambitiouz_Ent and believed I am ready to start my own empire, Bless!”
We’re so happy to see that Gigi is ending her year on a good note. The hitmaker’s 2018 has been filled with challenges, including a battle with depression, which almost cost her her life.
However, the talented Gigi is slowly on the mend as she has previously revealed that her depression was partially caused by not being appreciated, which broke her heart because she is talented.
