KwaZulu-Natal: At 13H30 Sunday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a serious collision on Selby Msimang Road next Henley Dam in Kwadlozi in the Midlands region.
Reports from the scene indicate that a bakkie and a truck were involved in a head-on collision.
Medics assessed the scene and found that four people inclusive of a young child sustained fatal injuries and were sadly declared deceased on the scene.
Three people had sustained critical injuries and required Advanced Life Support intervention to stabilise them.
Four other patients sustained moderate injuries.
All the patients were treated on the scene and once stabilised were transported by various ambulance services to hospital for further treatment.
Circumstances leading up to the collision will be investigated by the relevant authorities.
