The inmate who was allegedly impregnated by a cop already has three boys. The inmate (35) was sentenced to 30 years for murder in the Stilfontein Regional Court near Klerksdorp in the North West.
Her 40-year-old sister, who cannot be named to protect the kids, from Lehurutshe outside Zeerust, said: “When she was arrested by police in December 2017, they said she’d be back. But she’s been gone ever since.”
The sister said she had to take care of the children. “I now live with my four children and her three boys,” she said.
Her husband does temporary jobs in Lichtenburg.
“Things are not easy for us, but we’re also helped by their children’s social grants,” she said.
The sister said she lives with all seven children in a three-roomed shack.
She had stayed with the inmate in Sannieshof before she got married and moved to Lehurutshe.
She said before the arrest, the convict used to work and maintain her boys, now aged between seven and 15.
The convict was relocated from Mafikeng Female Prison to the Stilfontein holding cells so she could be closer to the court.
Her life changed after she was allegedly bribed by a cop with a promise of exchanging toiletry and having s.e.x.

A source said the following day, the cop managed to buy Disprin, coke, chips, chewing gum, and sweets.
The sister said she couldn’t attend court in Stilfontein but was aware that she was pregnant.
North West police spokeswoman Colonel Adele Myburgh said their investigation was complete, and the cop’s hearing would soon commence.
She said no criminal case had been opened.
“If the cop denies it’s his child, the mother can get a court order for DNA testing.
But that can only be done after the birth.”
The colonel said she couldn’t get the investigating officer in the murder case to get more details.
