The Wyebank community in Durban is still traumatised after the horrific murders of four children. It’s alleged that the siblings aged four, six, 10 and 16 were murdered by their father after he received final divorce papers.
One of the neighbours who knew the children for over 10 years says she’s still disturbed by the sight of the children hanging.
Annely Naidoo said, “the children were always with me and I was in charge of the children, in other words the children were my children, because the parents used to leave them with me. When they go to school I was there for them but I really miss them and they will rest in peace”.
The family is also having a hard time picking up the pieces
Philisiwe Cebisa, a family friend, said, “it is extremely difficult, only God knows and prayer is our only source of survival and we are hoping that as times goes by things will get better”. The 44-year-old father abandoned his bail application. He is due back in court on 9 October.
