Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande wants immediate arrests in the killing of Durban University of Technology student, Sandile Ndlovu.
Ndlovu was brutally attacked and stabbed in a lecture room at the university earlier this month.
The 18-year-old, first-year industrial engineering student died in hospital on Saturday morning after being on life support for more than two weeks.
Last week students shut down the main campus and marched to the hospital demanding justice for Ndlovu. The motive for the attack is unclear.

Gauteng education MEC Panyaza Lesufi is set to visit a Pretoria school on Monday after a pupil drowned during an excursion to Sun City.
