Former president Jacob Zuma’s corruption trial postponed

Jacob Zuma‘s trial has been adjourned to 10 and 13 August 2021 for adjudication on the special plea. This means the former president’s application for a postponement was successful.

Zuma wants to be physically present in court, saying a virtual trial will prejudice him. The State argues there is nothing wrong with going ahead virtually.

In a video posted on social media on Monday, the “Pantsula 4 Life” hitmaker called on all South Africans to help with donations, especially baby formula and nappies essentials that are running out in the province as a result of the chaos that saw and small business getting looted, while trucks and buildings were torched to the ground.
