Church goer found dead at waterfall

Gauteng: At 09H38 Tuesday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a drowning at the Manie Mulder Adventure Park in Roodepoort.

Reports from the scene indicate that a park ranger had found abandoned clothes nearby.

The ranger raised the alarm and emergency services were called to the scene.

The SAPS Search and Rescue Unit, SAPS Diving unit, and the City of Johannesburg Aquatic unit located the body of a 43-year-old male submerged in the water.

The man was brought to the surface where he was assessed by a Netcare 911 Emergency Care Practitioner who declared the patient deceased.

Circumstances leading up to the incident will be investigated by the Roodepoort SAPS.
