October has been a hectic month in Mzansi. From Vatiswa and The Fergusons, to Sjava and Lady Zamar, we have seen a lot of drama but it’s not about to end. This week became even spicier when rapper Chad Da Don (Don) introduced us to his new bae, immediately prompting a lot of confusion and questioning on the social media streets.
This is another one of those stories where we need to backtrack all the way to the beginning of this year to try and understand what’s going on. After dating last year and then breaking up over the festive season, Chad and Kelly came out strong and revealed that they were together for the long haul. In fact, Chad’s mother was their biggest supporter, claiming that she loved Kelly and her children and that the two were very serious.
We saw her wearing a wedding ring; we saw him proposing on Top Billing, we saw her call him her “husband”, we saw him hint that they should make a little “KK” — these two were so in love that we were ready to plan the wedding for them. And then in August the mood changed as when they started dropping hints that things weren’t okay.
They’ve kept the topic under wraps since (to be fair, we’ve been distracted by Kelly Khumalo’s Lebo Mathosa Drama) but on Tuesday we got a very clear indication that they have gone their separate ways when Chad posted a picture with his new girlfriend.
He even described her as his “Ride or Die No Matter What”: If you’re scratching your head at this point, you are not alone. Social media tweeps had a number of questions about this particular romance and others flat out wanted him to go back to Kelly Khumalo. Some of the comments read: As the community of Instagram, we do not approve 🤣🤣🤣. Hao, go back and apologize even if she was wrong🤣🤣🤣”
