
Buhlebendalo Mda has finally dropped her first single as a solo artist. Titled Iwotshi, it is the first single from her debut album which is set to drop next year. Speaking to us about venturing out on her own, she shared that the album is an expression of her feeling about social issues.
She said in part: “I’m speaking to people who don’t see women, homosexuals and amadlozi (ancestors). People who think that God is only in church is white and don’t see Him as a broad spirit.
I’m speaking to our government that never listens to us. And, I’m also speaking to babies. I’m just giving thanks to the people who came before me.
