After years of waiting, we finally get a look at Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam. The trailer was revealed during the DC FanDome event, where we got to see a first look at the character in action.
Black Adam was the first thing shown off during DC FanDome, with some behind-the-scenes shots and character reels showcased. Dwayne Johnson then came on to talk about his role, saying that he was born for the role and that the power hierarchy within the DC Universe was about to change. The Rock then said that the film was still in the works, but that he couldn’t bring nothing to DC FanDome.
The trailer showed a bunch of soldiers surrounding Black Adam, who then proceeded to annihilate them with lightning, melting one of them down to a skeleton. He then proceeds to catch a bullet before rising into the air. The trailer was only around-a-minute long, but finally gave us our first look at the film after much behind-the-scenes teasing.
Before this, we only received bits and pieces of information about the movie. Back in March, Johnson put up the first page of the movie’s script on his instragram account. While it didn’t reveal much, it said “Well, I’d love to wear a rainbow every day. And tell the world that everything’s okay. But I’ll try to carry off a little darkness on my back. Till things are brighter… I’m the Man In Black,” giving us a feel of the character.
