It seems we are not the only people who suspect a brewing relationship between rappers AKA and Nadia Nakai. The fact that they are both on vacation in similar locations speaks volumes. Now, a popular gossip page on Instagram, Maphepha Ndaba, has it on great authority that the two are indeed a couple, and Nadia Nakai allegedly wants to take things to the next level.
Last week we reported that the two rumoured “love birds” were on vacation together at an undisclosed lodge. Judging by their social media activity, both of them have returned to the city and are either working or enjoying themselves. This happened at the same time. Still not convinced?
Maphepha Ndaba, along with their trusted sources, allegedly spotted AKA and Nadia at the lodge. Other sources who are apparently close to the couple revealed how Nadia is visibly smitten with AKA and cannot wait to make their relationship known.
AKA, on the other hand is apparently skeptical about this as he does not think it might be a good idea. Understandably so, because of how his relationship with Anele Tembe ended due to a tragic loss.
“Nadia is in love and can’t hide it anymore. A little bird keeps whispering to Admin on how Nadia is even ready to take things to the next level. The lovebirds even go on vacation now.
“Those close to the couple says Nadia wants to make things official and public but AKA is not really sure if it’s a good idea or not,” reads a part of the post.
What sparked their love story was the whole “secret Santa” posts. Firstly Nadia posted that her secret Santa bought her a Rolex for Christmas. Then AKA posted another image of him at the said Resort and called himself ‘Secret South Ahh Santa.’
But the one person who sparked this whole controversy was Nota Baloyi, who at first people did not believe him because he is notorious for making outbursts. He was the very first person to make this revelation and nobody took him seriously. In an episode on his Everybody Hates Nota podcast, The Authority said, “What’s happening with AKA and Nadia?” He even mentioned that they have been spending so much quality time together.
It is understandable why AKA would be cautious about making their “relationship” known because he was engaged to the late Anele Tembe. Her death, on April 11 2021, at the Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town, sparked debate because of the circumstances surrounding her tragic fall.
He just recently paid homage to her on his social media, dedicated a song for her called Tears Run Dry, and sympathised with her father, Moses Tembe on Father’s Day last year.
