Body of man found in boot of abandoned car in Randfontein

The body of an unknown man has been found in an abandoned car on Kabelo Street in Mohlakeng, Randfontein, west of Johannesburg.

Police said the man’s body had several gunshot wounds and was stuffed into the boot of a white Opel Astra.

Randfontein police station commander Brigadier Mashole Jacob Manamela said they received a complaint from radio control to attend to an abandoned vehicle. They found blood trickling out of the car onto the tarmac, said Manamela.

A case of murder is now being investigated.

“We appeal to the community to assist the police with information that could lead to the arrest of those responsible,” Manamela concluded.
