72 more COVID-19 deaths reported in SA

The Health Department reported 72 more people have succumbed to COVID-19. According to the department, seven of the new deaths occurred in the past 24 to 48 hours.

The COVID-19 death toll in South Africa is at 19,749.

Covid-19 cases

There have been 1,761 new reported cases. The cumulative number of detected COVID-19 cases in SA is 734,175.

Recoveries in SA are at 675, 593.

The recovery rate is 92-per cent.
