It’s been several months since Zodwa Wabantu and her new man, Vusi Buthelezi, started dating and it looks likes things are getting serious between the couple. Zodwa introduced Vusi to her son, Vuyo, this week and captured their meeting on video. This is Vusi, Vusi’s my boyfriend,” the entertainer says in the video. Zodwa added: “Don’t take boyfriend or whatever that I do personally. There’s no other way to tell you than to tell you the truth. I fall in love, you understand? People break-up, we move on, you understand?
Up until July, Zodwa was engaged to her boyfriend of five years Ntobeko Linda. She proposed to the 24-year-old in May before putting their wedding plans on ice in June.
Zodwa called off the nuptials and their wedding one month later. She started dating Vusi shortly afterwards.
Zodwa’s fans slammed her for introducing her new man to her son so early in their relationship. Not long ago ur son [knew] Ntobeko as ur boyfriend now u showing him Vusi… don’t you think it’s too soon for him to know that u guys are dating. you confusing the child should have left it as Malume Vusi,” one Instagram user commented.
Despite a few negatives comments, many of Zodwa’s fans were happy that she has found love again. The dancer told her followers that mothers should not be afraid to put their happiness first. Vusi makes me happy. That’s why my son has a happy mother. Women don’t beat yourself up saying my kids first, you are first because all of your kids get is from you.
