Zim COVID-19 Cases Update

Zim COVID-19 Cases Update. The ministry of health has released the following statement detailing the progression of COVID-19 cases in Zimbabwe:

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SITUATION REPORT

Three (3) cases tested positive for COVID-I9 today. These are returnees from South Africa (2). South Sudan (1) and are all isolated. Today 107 RDT screening tests and 153 PCR diagnostic tests were done. The cumulative number of tests done to date is 52 985 131 478 RDT and 21 507 PCR).

To date the total number of confirmed cases is 282: recovered 34, active cases 244 and 4 deaths, since the onset of the outbreak on 20 March 2020. Meanwhile, the government has increased efforts for track returnees fleeing from quarantine centres as 7 escapees were reportedly returned to Mkoba Teachers’ College in Gweru.
