Premier Sihle Zikalala pays tribute to John Langalibalele Dube #FreedomDay

KwaZulu-Natal premier Sihle Zikalala has paid tribute to John Langalibalele Dube, the founding president of the South African Native National Congress (which became the ANC).

It’s part of the province’s Freedom Day celebrations. The premier led the official provincial celebrations in Dube’s hometown.

Zikalala said: “This is a very monumental site, not only for KwaZulu-Natal but for the country as a whole. When we celebrate Freedom Day, we must remember those who started and led the struggle for liberation. Zikalala spoke in support of access to education, economic transformation, and against social ills like gender-based violence and crime.
