Police have arrested seven suspects in connection with an attempted hit on a prominent Cape Town lawyer. Five men and two women were arrested in a late-night police operation in Woodstock on Wednesday. William Booth narrowly escaped a shooting at his Higgovale home on 9 April.
Two suspects, wearing face masks, approached Booth that morning, firing several shots at him. The pair fled the scene, leaving Booth unharmed.
The suspects were captured on surveillance cameras three days before the shooting. Police say the vehicle the suspects had been using was also recovered and confiscated.
